It is 2 patch file - <noindex><a href="http://www.opcode.eu.org/sieci_komputerowe_uslugi/ejabberd_alias_check.diff" rel="nofollow" >ejabberd_alias_check.diff</a></noindex>, <noindex><a href="http://www.opcode.eu.org/sieci_komputerowe_uslugi/ejabberd_alias_forward.diff" rel="nofollow" >ejabberd_alias_forward.diff</a></noindex> and 1 shell script - <noindex><a href="http://www.opcode.eu.org/sieci_komputerowe_uslugi/ejabberd_alias_check.sh/ejabberd_alias_check.sh" rel="nofollow" >ejabberd_alias_check.sh</a></noindex>. User can login for allias name, alias account have independent roadster and presence send only if user is login to alias. Admin can set alias flag who decide of stoage procedure (mor detalis about alias file syntax in ejabberd_alias_check.sh). In ejabberd_alias_check.diff and ejabberd_alias_forward.diff must be set path to ejabberd_alias_check.sh. More detalis about this system (unfortunately only in polish, now) on <noindex><a href="http://www.opcode.eu.org/sieci_komputerowe_uslugi/#uslugi_sieciowe:PROJECTS:ejabberd_aliases" title="http://www.opcode.eu.org/sieci_komputerowe_uslugi/#uslugi_sieciowe:PROJECTS:ejabberd_aliases" rel="nofollow" >http://www.opcode.eu.org/sieci_komputerowe_uslugi/#uslugi_sieciowe:PROJE...</a></noindex></p> Sat, 15 Sep 2007 15:43:58 +0000 bercik comment 50828 at https://www.ejabberd.im becomes a feature request https://www.ejabberd.im/node/1440#comment-3461 <p>thanks for your answer :-)</p> <p>Hm.. I think it would make sence to start a feature request. Not because of spamming - e.g. I need this to still hold my old ID but to start my change to the new id. I also found a couple of simalar questions in this forum. Ok... this thread will be continued in a different subforum.</p> Sun, 01 Apr 2007 17:35:48 +0000 honana comment 3461 at https://www.ejabberd.im Aliases are not possible in https://www.ejabberd.im/node/1440#comment-3460 <p>Aliases are not possible in the Jabber world. A feature that makes it harder for spammers to create multiple addresses.</p> <p>--<br /> sander</p> Sun, 01 Apr 2007 12:53:58 +0000 sander comment 3460 at https://www.ejabberd.im ok, no mirror-domain... but an Alias like in the eMailsystem? https://www.ejabberd.im/node/1440#comment-3459 <p>Thanks for your quick anwser - even it is different than I wanted ;-)</p> <p>Ok, if I can't declare one domain the be the mirror of an other domain would it be possible to assign individual Alias (like in the eMailsystem) to a jabber-account?</p> <p>Regarding your confusion-problem: I am comparing the jabber with the emailsystem. And who tells you if two different emails are two different persons in reality? I am thinking that this can only be answered by the content of the communication between the email-partners - and the same for jabber communications-partners.</p> <p>If this individual jabber-ID Alias are not possible in ejabberd too, wouldn't it be an important and nice feature to implement into ejabberd?</p> <p>H.</p> Sun, 01 Apr 2007 08:57:44 +0000 honana comment 3459 at https://www.ejabberd.im It isn't possible to pretend https://www.ejabberd.im/node/1440#comment-3458 <p>It isn't possible to pretend that nameA.com and nameA.eu are the same virtual host in ejabberd. Moreover, if even it were possible, it would confuse contacts from other servers, which know only JID <noindex><a href="mailto:user@nameA.com" rel="nofollow" >user@nameA.com</a></noindex> and will never guess that it's the same person as <noindex><a href="mailto:user@nameA.eu" rel="nofollow" >user@nameA.eu</a></noindex>.</p> Sun, 01 Apr 2007 05:33:36 +0000 teo comment 3458 at https://www.ejabberd.im
