I'm able to chat with the other jabbers just by adding them into my roster.
Fri, 27 May 2005 08:50:39 +0000 chandrat comment 485 at https://www.ejabberd.im make sure to understand what 's2s' means https://www.ejabberd.im/node/242#comment-483
Q1: S2S in Jabber means that two completely independent Jabber servers (let's say amessage.de that runs jabberd and jabber.ru that runs ejabberd) allow their respective users to chat (and a lot more) between them.

It's the equivalent in email if a user in gmail.com sends a message to an account in mail.yahoo.com.

S2S is usually enabled in the Jabber servers, so you don't need to configure anything. Just allow access to port 5269 in the firewalls.

Q2: Well, ejabberd includes support to import a jabberd spool directory, including users, rosters, vcard...

If you are interested in serving several domains, you can configure one single ejabberd server with various virtual domains.
Thu, 26 May 2005 15:26:29 +0000 mfoss comment 483 at https://www.ejabberd.im
