I've got exactly the same problem at the moment...

This seems it is a change in gtalk server. My server hasn't changed/rebooted for 100 days, my client has the same conf... But now I can't see/add/chat with gmail contacts.

If someone has a tip...

Maybe. I use ejabberd SVN, which shows a different log format. I set it up with IP address as server name, and tried to connect to gmail.com. It failed, and this is the log:
