Such a functionality is not implemented anywhere in ejabberd or in any ejabberd contributed module.

So, if you are looking for example code in Erlang to simplement such a feature, you can start looking at web servers written in Erlang: httpd is included in Erlang/OTP, Yaws has some upload feature...

Something like the great mod_webpresence module but in the other direction.
