ejabberd - Comments for "A profanity filter module - is there an ongoing discussion?" https://www.ejabberd.im/node/3047 en There is a small ejabberd https://www.ejabberd.im/node/3047#comment-52418 <p>There is <noindex><a href="http://www.dtek.chalmers.se/~henoch/mod_shit.erl" rel="nofollow" >a small ejabberd module for censoring words in messages</a></noindex>. The author of that module explained that he wrote it to experiment with the possibility, so it haven't evolved much.</p> <p>I am not aware of any running attempts to improve such a feature in ejabberd.</p> <p>Optional MUC profanity filtering: sounds interesting. It may require improvements in ejabberd's MUC service to allow room and private room message filtering.</p> <p>Looking at the <noindex><a href="http://www.xmpp.org/extensions/" rel="nofollow" >list of XEPs</a></noindex>, I don't see anything about profanity. I guess that is considered a topic related to the particular server implementation.</p> Sun, 18 May 2008 18:27:24 +0000 mfoss comment 52418 at https://www.ejabberd.im
