Using mod_statsdx, counters can be see in WebAdmin

Not possible in the basic ejabberd.

In ejabberd-modules SVN there is mod_statsdx that can be configured to count number of stanzas sent and received, including messages. Those counters can be seen in the ejabberd Web Admin.
