An ejabberd node just waits for client connections.

If you have several ejabberd nodes sharing some tables (by using Mnesia clustering as described in the ejabberd Guide; or by using the same MySQL database all the nodes, ...), it's the clients task to determine what node to connect to.

For this purpose you can setup a DNS domain balancer. Sorry, I can't help you with that part because I don't have experience with that.
Mon, 16 Nov 2009 23:31:37 +0000 mfoss comment 54910 at https://www.ejabberd.im hi https://www.ejabberd.im/node/3752#comment-54894
actually i did not find an exact solution how to make client know which node he must interact in case of node failure.
how a load balancing happens when a particular node is down.
Sat, 14 Nov 2009 03:30:08 +0000 vaibhavc14 comment 54894 at https://www.ejabberd.im Don't scream, just read https://www.ejabberd.im/node/3752#comment-54892
Don't scream, just read official ejabberd guide:
<noindex>http://www.process-one.net/en/ejabberd/guide_en#htoc80</noindex>
Fri, 13 Nov 2009 17:38:12 +0000 evadim comment 54892 at https://www.ejabberd.im
