ejabberd - Comments for "Admin Page Is Blank" https://www.ejabberd.im/node/986 en confusion for /admin/ login https://www.ejabberd.im/node/986#comment-3294
Here's something that could be done to make this less confusing: stop accepting the username without domain/password combination as *valid*.

That's why this is so confusing. It should simply not be a valid combination - leading to an error message. Not a blank page...
Sat, 10 Mar 2007 22:42:53 +0000 ward comment 3294 at https://www.ejabberd.im Re: I meant the more ironic than https://www.ejabberd.im/node/986#comment-2144

calestyo wrote:

I meant the more ironic than serious ;)

Yes, but if you have ideas... ;-)
Tue, 15 Aug 2006 09:59:34 +0000 sander comment 2144 at https://www.ejabberd.im I meant the more ironic than https://www.ejabberd.im/node/986#comment-2137
I meant the more ironic than serious ;)
Mon, 14 Aug 2006 18:10:22 +0000 calestyo comment 2137 at https://www.ejabberd.im Re: You probably have to use the https://www.ejabberd.im/node/986#comment-2114

calestyo wrote:

You probably have to use the something admin@domain as user and not just admin.
I've just have had the same problem,.. this is maybe a little bit poorly documented ;)

Chris.

Poorly documented? The word "full" is highlighted in the section <noindex>Creating an Initial Administrator</noindex>, as well as in the section <noindex>Web Interface</noindex> (also in the examples in the latter!). Moreover, an example Jabber ID is given several times. The same is true for the <noindex>FAQ</noindex> as it contains the entry <noindex>I Cannot Login into the Web Interface</noindex>. If you have ideas to make this even more clear, they are welcome! ;-)

(It has some reason why this information is duplicated so much :-D )
Thu, 10 Aug 2006 13:20:12 +0000 sander comment 2114 at https://www.ejabberd.im You probably have to use the https://www.ejabberd.im/node/986#comment-2107
You probably have to use the something admin@domain as user and not just admin.
I've just have had the same problem,.. this is maybe a little bit poorly documented ;)

Chris.
Thu, 10 Aug 2006 00:44:15 +0000 calestyo comment 2107 at https://www.ejabberd.im When your browser asks you https://www.ejabberd.im/node/986#comment-2090
When your browser asks you the login user and password, what do you exactly put?
Sun, 06 Aug 2006 09:41:50 +0000 mfoss comment 2090 at https://www.ejabberd.im
