I am using putty as a client and Amazon AWS server. I installed ejabberd 15.06 on amazon aws following the instructions given here "http://www.sebastianhaas.at/installung-running-ejabberd-aws-ec2-instance/" .
The first time I did this all the things went smoothly and I was able to install ejabberd 15.06 there. But after working for some time I came to know that i should have installed ejabberd 17.03 or higher version on Amazon AWS.
Since I couldn't find any other way uninstall ejabberd 15.06 from amazon aws I had to delete the files manually containing the ejabberd 15.06.
After that I tried the instructions given above and found the following issue popping up again and again:
Down/ejabberd-15.06-linux-x86_64-installer.run: line 1: syntax error near unexpected token `newline'
Down/ejabberd-15.06-linux-x86_64-installer.run: line 1: `'
Can anyone gauge the actual problem with this?
