Ejabberd and JWChat - help needed

hi guys!
I'm running Kubuntu 7.10 with Apache2.
I can go all the way installing ejabberd and jwchat, but in the end, the roster window appears, but with errors! So, i must have done something wrong! Can anyone help, please?
(sorry for the long post. i hope i'm not breaking any rule!...)
