I have Ejabberd 1.1.4 installed and it works fine(using IM clients) in my test network. I installed dnspython and xmpppy so can use a script like xsend.py to instant message from Nagios. The problem is that it takes about 45 seconds for the message to reach the recipient. The Ejabberd server is in the host file. I can't find any documentation or configuration files(dnspython) that may help. Any help is appreciated.
