Error

Adding a new node to the cluster do not work. When trying to start the new node this error occurs:

** FATAL ** Failed to merge schema: Incompatible schema cookies. Please, restart from old backup.'default@jabbert'

Explanation

This error means that there already exists a database which is not compatible with an existing node's database.

Solution

To solve this problem you need to remove the database on the disk of the new node. After doing that you should be able to start the new node without problems.
