ejabberd says connection acceptied, client says disconneted, please help!

Hi,
I have setup ejabberd with SSL. I went http://ddint.org:5280/admin. I cannot do anything there because I do not know what I shoudl do.
I used ejabberdctl ejabberd@anna90 status. It says started.
Then I used Xxodus to connect ejabberd. What ever I do, on the client side always disconnected. On the server log, it says connection accepted. I only created an admin user with ejabberdctl. I think the client should be able to create a new user. But this never happened and I cannot use the admin account to log in either.
Some one please help to get started. I searched a day and I cannot find any instruction to get started after the server get started running.
I had made SSL certs and put it in the etc folder. I checked sasl.log, nothing strange and nothing I can understand.
Is there any debug mode I can turn on and get some hint?
