Is ejabbered more reliable than jabbered v2

Hi

Currently running a single jabbered v2 server over ssl (with about 50-80 users) & using Neos client but we frequently (a few times every month) loose messages between clients in different parts of the world...

I am really looking for a client/server IM system that will report if messages do not get delivered for what ever reason but hopefully it will deliver them! Currently messages just disappear but you never know until you chase a person up & find out they never got it - which annouying!

Is ejabbered the solution for me or is there something else out there more reliable..

Thanks

Barry

No, ejabberd is not more

No, ejabberd is not more reliable. The whole Jabber protocol is not reliable. It does not provide any message delivery acknowledgement . The protocol relies on TCP/IP reliability, which is not the case (TCP/IP does not guarantee packet delivery).
