Ok, first off hello everyone. I'm pretty new to the whole Linux world, so please keep that in mind when you answer.
Ok, my problem... I have a computer that was originally running fedora 4, which was also originally running ejabberd just fine. However, I upgraded it to Fedora 6 this morning, and now my users are unable to log in.
I've checked to make sure that the service is still running on the machine, which it is. I can also still log in through the web portal, so I know that my original accounts and passwords are still there. I can also still register new accounts through the client (PSI). When I attempt to login, however, I get this error message, "There was an error communicating with the Jabber server. Details: Disconnected."
Any help is greatly appreciated.
I also forgot to mention
I also forgot to mention that I have also run the yum upgrade ejabberd command in an attempt to solve this problem. It upgraded ejabberd to the latest version, but it still did not fix my problem.

Ok, I seem to have fixed the problem. Apparently I needed to update the erlang package as well after upgrading to Fedora 6. I just assumed that it would be the correct version once I upgraded, but I guess I was wrong. I ran the command "yum upgrade erlang" and then stopped and started the ejabberd service. The upgrade command installed erlang-R11B-0.3.fc.
My users can now login. =)

No I haven't. How would I go about finding out who that is? Sorry, but like I said, I'm still learning the whole Linux thing.
