Flex/ Flash Sandbox Error with ejabberd on ubuntu

Hello,

I'm running ejabberd on ubuntu on my home pc as I'd like to develop a Flex xmpp client.

I'm also using the XIFF xmpp library.

My ejabberd server is at localhost:5222 but every time I try to connect from my swf file I get the following:

[trace] sandbox =localWithNetwork
[trace] *** Security Sandbox Violation ***
[trace] Connection to localhost:5222 halted - not permitted from file:///home/simba/workspace/XIFF3.1/bin/xmpptest-debug.swf
[trace] there was a security error of type: securityError
[trace] Error: Error #2048: Security sandbox violation: file:///home/simba/workspace/XIFF3.1/bin/xmpptest-debug.swf cannot load data from localhost:5222.

How can I get this to connect please and stop giving me this error? I don't understand why ejabberd is failing since I can connect to a wildfire server with the same local setup.

I'd really like to give ejabberd a look. Can anyone help me get round this sandbox error please?

Same issue

I've got the same issue, even with the flash policy file patch installed.
