mod_presence registration

Hi all,

I am new to the ejabberd community, I have installed and configured an ejabberd server on a Windows machine and everything is running fine.
I wanted to use the mod_presence to check if my users were online, but I dont' know:
1) what command to use to register a user
2) possibly how to automatically register all users for this.

The only "documentation" I could find was a couple tiny blog posts somewhere.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
-GT

register using Discovery

One of the mails linked on the mod_presence page says:

Quote:

If user wants to use it, he should register on service presence.yourhost, which is accessible from disco.

Explanation: if mod_presence is correctly installed and running, Jabber clients will show 'presence.example.org' on the Jabber Discovery. Try with Gajim, Tkabber or Psi (newest beta). That service allows you to register, unregister, and change some options.

It isn't possible with the current version, but I guess it wouldn't be that hard to implement it, and let the ejabberd admin configure that.
