Hi,
I have installed ejabberd with http_bind module (S Strigler mabber) on a Debian Sarge server.
I have put ejabberd start & stop in my init.d and it seems to work fine even if I just have that in /var/log/ejabberd/ejabberd.log

I(<0.36.0>:ejabberd_rdbms:20) : ejabberd has not been compiled with relational database support. Skipping database startup.
But my jabber client ( Psi or Jwchat) are not abble to find my jabber server.
I have checked the "hosts" field in ejabberd.cfg and its seems to be good.
To be sure, I have done a ping on this domain and the server answers.
I don't know which test I can do to find the problem.
Note : I have install ejabberd + http_bind module on my Etch server and all goes fine.

for security reason, ports 5222 and 5280 were closed on the server...
as simple as that
