I have setup ejabber server under windows envirionment. I'm nto able to connect to the server using client softwares like Exodus from remote hosts. Can any one help me? (i'm able to connect to the ejabber server by making the server PC itself as client. But it doesnt work in the LAN)

telnet <jabber-server> 5222 doesnt work
telnet <jabber-server> 5222 doesnt work
I tried to run telnet 5222 on client hosts and it didnt work. It worked only on the jabber server host. What could be the diagnosis/fix?
DNS problem; firewall?
It may be a problem on the server/machine name, and the client can't reach the server because it does not even know what's the IP address.
It could also be that the port 5222 is bloqued by a firewall on the server, or on an intermediate.
