Ejabberctl rpc failed nodedown on localhost

Hello,

We are trying to run a fresh new compiled version of ejabberd 1.1.3 on suse 9.3

We installed ejabberdctl inside the ebin directory

When we try to launch

ejabberdctl ejabberd@localhost start

We have the following message :

RPC failed on the node ejabberd@localhost: nodedown

inside /etc/hosts we have 127.0.0.1 localhost

No firewall enabled,

Anybody have an idea ?
