Ejabberd 2.1.11 or 14.12

Hi,

Why ubuntu repository is so out of date?

When installed on Ubuntu 14.04 from official repositories, ejabberctl status show me that the 2.1.11 version is running:

root@xmpp:~# ejabberdctl status
The node ejabberd@xmpp is started with status: started
ejabberd 2.1.11 is running in that node

But when installed from Binary Installer:

root@xmpp:~# /opt/ejabberd-14.12/bin/ejabberdctl status
The node ejabberd@localhost is started with status: started
ejabberd 14.12 is running in that node

Why Ubuntu repository so out of date?

I cannot comment about Ubuntu being so out of date, but we are hoping to have a repository for up to date packages for Ubuntu available soon.

Let's see if we can make this happen.
