Does mod_shared_roster work with mod_roster_odbc?
I am asking because I've installed mod_shared_roster and i can add/configure groups by webadmin, but in ejabber client, there are no preconfigured groups. I'm using mysql for
users data.

So mod_roster_odbc stores roster items in MySQL. mod_shared_roster doesn't need to store roster items anywhere, because that module generates them at real time without modifying the real users' rosters.
Maybe you didn't set correctly the groups. Or there is an unknown bug in ejabberd. Did you read and followed carefully the ejabberd guide section, and those pages: and ?
