Compile from source on OS 10.5

I know there is a binary installer for OS X, but I'm wondering if anyone has successfully built and installed ejabberd 2.0.0 from source on OS 10.5? Reason I want to go down this route is to add a custom module, and I'm pretty sure ejabberd needs to be built from source in order to add or modify existing modules, correct me if I'm wrong. Unless there is a way to add modules to an existing ejabberd installation without doing a recompile.

My mistake. It's as easy as compiling a new module, dropping it in the proper directory, and modifying the ejabberd.cfg file accordingly. Sticking with the binary installer is just fine.
