Debian ETCH and ejabberd, need help!

xxx:/home/yyy# /etc/init.d/ejabberd start
Starting jabber server: ejabberd.

xxx:/home/yyy# ejabberdctl status
RPC failed on the node 'ejabberd@xxx': nodedown

127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.0.2 xxx

{file, hosts, "/etc/hosts"}.
#{file, resolv, "/etc/resolv.conf"}.
{lookup, [file]}.

ping xxx
PING xxx (192.168.0.2) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from xxx (192.168.0.2): icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.350 ms
64 bytes from xxx (192.168.0.2): icmp_seq=2 ttl=64 time=0.357 ms
64 bytes from xxx (192.168.0.2): icmp_seq=3 ttl=64 time=0.297 ms
64 bytes from xxx (192.168.0.2): icmp_seq=4 ttl=64 time=0.338 ms
