Windows service goes down on logoff

Hi Guys,

I have installed ejabberd 2.0.2 on Windows XP SP3 and turned added windows service "ejabberd" on to start automatically.

I kicks off the service in mmc being in my session and it works fine. But when I log off my session, the service goes down as well though I should still run since it's a windows service.

I went ahead and started the service remotely from another machine. It worked fine until I logged in to the server machine and logged off a bit later. ejabberd stopped on my logoff.

What am I doing wrong ?

I had the same problem, you have to start the service. Check out this other post, below, it helped me with the same issue on a Win2003 server:

Yeah sure I start the service erlsrv, but it goes down when I logoff.
