Performance testing ejabberd's BOSH implementation

I am in the beginning phases of having to performance test the BOSH implementation in ejabberd and was wondering if anyone in the community has done this before. If so, are there existing bosh performance clients out there anywhere or did you have to develop your own? I have done some initial searching and have found nothing so I put a few hours into developing my own so far and have been able to establish connections and create the session but before I get into authenticating users (or going any further) I just wanted to make sure I was not reinventing the wheel.
