Hi,
I just upgraded to ejabberd 2.0.1 on Debian lenny, but now it doesn't like my SSL certificate anymore.
It works great with the self-signed certificate installed by default (/etc/ejabberd/ejabberd.pem), but not with my certificate and key from CAcert.
The client (libpurple) says that SSL negotiation fails, further debugging turns up that ejabebrd sends a response with an unexpected length to the starttls stanza.
There is a bit of information on that on the internet, but that claims that CAcert certificates work jsut fine.
No logs on the server-side, fwiw ...
Any ideas would be great!
Cheers,
Nik

Some tutorials in theTutorials page mention how to prepare certificate files for ejabberd. Take a look, maybe they give you some idea.

I have the same problem on a fresh lenny installation.
I use a CA-Cert certificate and it don't work, with the ejabberd.pem all work.
I use the same CA-Cert certificat on my old ejabberd installation without problem, I need to change my server to I have a fresh installation and it doesn't work anymore ...
no idea ?
