When I first created my server, the first user I created was for myself using myname@ as the JID.
I have since set up an admin@ account and I have assigned admin rights in the ejabberd.cfg file to keep my server admin separate from my personal use of the server.
For security I wanted to revoke admin rights from my personal account so I removed myname@ from the admin list in ejabberd.cfg but since then it still retains access to all administration functions in service discovery.
I've tried deleting and recreating the account and migrating the database to an updated server but the problem remains, there is no mention of the first user in the config file.
Is there any way to revoke admin control from the first user?

Ok, but the corresponding ACL rule is still stored in the database. You can delete it in the ejabberd WebAdmin, which has direct access to the database.
