I finally decided to go with Ejabberd after trying out openfire but I went to amazon.com to look for book on Ejabberd and could not find any. My question is why is it there's no book on Ejabberd? For someone who is new to Ejabberd I had to run all over the place to figure out few things. So is processone gonna put out a book on Ejabberd?.. I have setup Ejabberd but I feel there's a lot I still need to know about this server. I think it's one of the best jabber server out there. It's not easy to configure and I hope something can be done about this.

You are right, there is no a book about ejabberd. But the Installation Guide is pretty exhaustive.

Although this installation guide is pretty exhaustive but still I would like to point out that it lacks clarity for users who are new to erlang.There should be working examples of things on this site for example:
the method of calling gen_mod is explained here but if it would have been with there with a working example or screenshots it would have been far more easier to understand it.And it would have taken less time also to grasp the things.
I think that process one should definitely consider these facts.
