I have created 2 accounts in localhost in XMPP using pidgin interface.
The instant messaging is working correctly for the created accounts in the local system.
But when i need to chat with the user who has the account in another system i got a error message like "XMPP message error:message delivered to the user failed (code 404)".
I got this error even that user was in online.But the error shows the user was in offline eventhough he was in online.
Please help me..how to solve this problem.

Does the other machine know where "localhost" is? I also have a server called "localhost", should the other machine connect to my "localhost" server, or to your "localhost" server?

Hi Sir,
I am using ejabbered server in my localhost and i have created accounts in localhost through pidgin interface and the protocol is XMPP.
Similarly i have created another account in other machine using ejabbered server through pidgin interface and the protocol is XMPP.
But the instant chating is working for the accounts created within the localhost.
It is not working for the accounts in my machine and the accounts in the another machine.
The message delivered to the user in other machine is failed eventhough that user was in online.The buddy list cannot able to authorize the user in other machine.
How to connect the user in other machine.
