Maximum Connections

Is there a limit on the amount of connections ejabber will accept from a single host ?

At the moment it seems like I can't make more that 5000 connections from a host. I can however make more connections from another host. The ejabber server is running on a Windows Server, and I'm making the connections from Windows XP.

MaxUserPort Paramater

Setting the MaxUserPort TCP paramater seems to fix the issue.

performance

How many connections are you able to make from other hosts? What OS is ejabberd running on? Also, what is the performance like when you have that many connections?
