Hi dear Community,
after realizing I was using the wrong backup strategy (let's call it none), i got the following problem:
I got all the files from /var/lib/ejabberd from an old Ejabberd site with the mnesia backend (ejabberd 1.1.2 from Debian Etch) which is dysfunctional now. There's another server running ejabberd 2.0.5 (from the Debian Lenny repository). Is there any possibility to restore, at least users and there rosters using these files? I already asked Google and tried all nasty tricks i could find with no success yet.
Any help would be appreciated and I swear I learned how to spell BACKUP right now. ;)

EDIT: Solved, rebuild dysfunctional server (debootstrap + chroot) and used migration guide http://www.ejabberd.im/migrate-host
