Hi all,
do you know if one or more (which one?) of main jabber servers (ejabberd, jive...) will implement JEP-0136 (message archiving) soon in the futur ?
Thanks

still experimental
thanks you both for your answer.
I've installed datasink which works fine now.
Do you know why this JEP is still "experimental" ?
Each server you mentionned seems to build a "personnal" archiving process, no ? Could be great if they implement 0136 in futur...
see you

Do you know why this JEP is
Read thestandards process followed by the Jabber Software Foundation .
That kind of message archiving is mostly used because it is needed by law in some countries or because it is needed by companies.

serer implementation; also Datasink
At least five free servers are said to support 'message archiving': jabberd 1.4.5, Jive Messenger, OpenIM, psycMUVE and WPjabber.
But JEP-136 seems to be implemented only by jabberd-1.4.5.
Another possibility isDatasink . It's a server-independent implementation of JEP-136. I tried it with ejabberd and JWchat, and it worked perfectly. If you are interested in it, I can write a tutorial that covers the installation of Datasink with ejabberd.
Datasink tutorial?
Was this tutorial ever done? I'd be very interested. I'm just getting started with ejabberd and don't really know where to start to get datasink working with it.
Thanks in advance.
