ejajjabed crashes on boot no log file creates erl_crash.dump file

Hi all,

I have been trying to start IRC in ejabberd, but now i'm not getting basic jabber either.

I could not find instructions for irc, the module loads but netstat shows ejabberd not listening on 6667, the irc port.

I tried adding a listen section for the port, but with no luck.

Now, when I comment out the listen section I added, ejabber crashes, and if i comment out the mod_irc it still crashes. So now I'm left with no jabber server and no log files indicating what might have happened.

any ideas?

crash dump file is large I can post if it going to help?
