I have ejabberd-0.9.8 on Gentoo and try to make working example extauth script. It works fine only when I start ejabberd as root. Please tell me is it possible to make it working without root privileges? Ejabberd works fine without extauth. Thank you.

ejabberd executes the extauth script on start. Maybe the user that runs ejabberd has no permission to execute the script.
