Cannot run ejabberd

Hi everyone:

Im new to this and tried to install ejabberd in a fedora core 3 box. I followed the instructions, installed libexpat and erlang and then ejabberd.

But when I try to run ejabberd by " su ejabberd -c "erl -s ejabberd -sname ejabberd -ejabberd config '\"ejabberd.cfg\"' -detached" " it just makes nothing.

It just recodrs the following in /var/log/messages:

Jan 12 12:15:31 cerverus su(pam_unix)[7359]: session opened for user ejabberd by root(uid=0)
Jan 12 12:15:31 cerverus epmd: epmd: epmd running - daemon = 1
Jan 12 12:15:31 cerverus su(pam_unix)[7359]: session closed for user ejabberd

But has no other effect.

Im using the default config file.

What am I doing wrong?
