No, the solution is to look at the Jabber ID (which the user cannot change). At least the Jabber world has no "MSN nickname change crazyness" :-)
as well as group names in someone else's roster?
If you use Shared Roster Groups, users cannot permanently change the group name of the shared roster groups.
