Mysql x ODBC x Linux

Hello,
I have done the ejabberd graphical install using windows and configured ODBC to work with a Mysql database, but i can not achive the same task over linux using FC4 (Fedora). Unixodbc is setup and tested with sucess but i get this conflict error 409 every time i use GAIM to register or connect a user.
A need somebody's help.
Best regards,
John

'Conflict error' may mean

'Conflict error' may mean you try to register an account that already exists.

conflict error 409 (GAIM)

I would be glad if this was the case but every time a connection can not be stablished i get the message 409 conflict error (GAIM) I call for help because i am tryng to bring up a public server down in Brazil and i hoppe to use ejabberd with mysql to acomplish this. Fedora 4 is my best choice but i am considering installing debian just to follow the steps writen on http://www.pgmillard.com/blog/
It would be nice if i could use the native acess to mysql but i did not find out how to manage that too.
Regards
John

Did you try with other

Did you try with other Jabber clients?

Did you try to use internal authentication to verify if it's a problem on the database setup?

Other im clients

I did try with Kopete with the same results
If I use the internal authentication every thing works fine, so i can register new accounts and login with old ones.
If i use erlang interpreter i can connect via ODBC and use the very same database created for ejabberd. I would like to know how to upgrade to beta sub-version 1.1 and give it another try from there.
thanks
John

The release of ejabberd 1.1.0 is imminent. The release notes say: 'The database schema has not been changed and consequently it does not require any migration.'
