After installing on MacOS, the preference panel isn't available, so I have to resort to setting up the server manually.
bin/start doesn't actually start it, and bin/postinstall.sh does this:
shard:/Applications/ejabberd-1.1.1 trejkaz$ sudo bin/postinstall.sh -=- ejabberd post installation script -=- (c) 2005-2006 Process-one * Checking ejabberd installation * Starting ejabberd "default" instance thread_get_state: Unknown error: 0 .thread_get_state: Unknown error: 0 .thread_get_state: Unknown error: 0
I get the same error trying to run bin/ejabberdctl.
I suspect that something is seriously wrong with the MacOS version of Erlang.
You have to run the MacOSX installer as system admin
Hello,
The MacOSX installer must be run as system admin. The target directory must not be changed.
I hope this helps,
