Reading over the docs on this side I find that mod_muc is not clusterable. Are there any other known limitations of running in a cluster? Also, what would be involved in modifying mod_muc for cluster support?

External transport normally do not support clustering (though ejabberd should support clustering-enabled transports). And I am not aware of other limitations.
Also, what would be involved in modifying mod_muc for cluster support?
There needs to be anew protocol first.
