I'm running ejabberd 2.0.5. After I couldn't get mod_shared_roster_ldap to work, I'm now using mod_shared_roster, which is doing fine. My problem is, that all shared contacts are shown using the jabber id, and not their corresponding nick name. This can be retrieved via the module mod_vcard_ldap, which also is doing fine.
Is there a workaround, to let the contacts be shown by their nick name? Or at least to provide a default nick name, as used in , which is for version 1.1.x.

Two patches, but both have flaws

The problem with that patch is that it modifies structure of the table.
There is an alternative solution in
The problem in that case is that it is only implemented for mod_vcard, not mod_vcard_ldap.
