problem in installing ejabberd:

Hi all!

I ve been tryin to install ejabberd and could not find how to?
so far i ve downloaded ejabberd-2.1.5.tar.gz and tried to install from it. when i tried to configure it from its src i got this error.

checking for erlc... no
checking for erl... no
configure: error: erlang not found

Then i downloaded otp_src_R11B-4.tar.gz and unzipped the content in my /usr folder.

When i tried to configure it at the end of the configuration i got this message:

odbc : No odbc library found

*********************************************************************

1) is this normal or should i do something else for this?

Anyways i ignored it and completed the installation but still couldnt install the ejabberd??

I m quite a newbie with this chat server so please any suggestion and recommendation are hearltly welcome.
I m tryin it on Centos 5
