Hi, I use ejabberd in my office and, as a, in some other offices, right now its working well. One customer ask me if ejabberd can support video transmition, and I dont know what to answer, cause to be honest i new on this.
Anyway, my question is, ejabberd can support video transmision and which jabber client can i use for this.
I look on the net and dont find anything about it, maybe some of you can help.
beforehand, i thanks any help.
Yes, with iChat
I'm using ejabberd 1.0.0 as a replacement for Apple's iChat server (jabberd 1.4) and have got it working with c2s using Apple's iChat client (available only for Macs). Audio and Video work just fine.
I'm expecting s2s to work also, but have not done that yet.
As far as I know, there are some Windows options that are close to doing A/V:
* Trillian (Pro/pay version) - but people on the forums say it doesn't work
* Version 5.9 of AOL IM for Windows
* TIPIC/IM (if you compile it yourself with the H.264 ffmpeg libs)
Hopefully, either Apple or Google will provide a Windows XMPP A/V client soon.
George
I going to probe it
